Ben Locwin has spent more than 25 years working in regulated environments at Top 10 Pharma companies and top CDMOs, including Biogen, and Lonza, where getting something ‘almost’ right is never good enough. His experience includes working closely with the FDA, MHRA, EMA, and other global regulatory agencies to navigate approval pathways for small- and large-molecule therapies as well as medical devices.
Through that experience, Ben has developed a clear point of view: progress depends on disciplined human judgment. Technology, systems, and processes can make organizations faster and more consistent, but they cannot replace the experience it takes to know when to question, when to escalate, and when a seemingly straightforward decision carries greater risk than it appears.
That perspective shapes the expertise Ben brings to Reliant clients. He deeply understands the work behind the job description, the regulatory pressure surrounding it, and the difference between someone who checks the boxes and someone who has the judgment to move critical work forward.
With more than 30 years of business development and sales experience, Patrick Hickey has learned that complex client challenges rarely have off-the-shelf answers. His work is centered largely in the medical device industry, where he helps clients bring together the right subject matter experts and build teams capable of solving highly specialized business needs.
Patrick is at his best when the situation is complicated. He has a knack for turning complexity into clarity, understanding what a client is really trying to accomplish, and connecting the right expertise to the problem. His approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in the realities of working in regulated environments. That experience strengthens Reliant’s ability to look beyond an immediate talent request, understand the larger business problem, and bring the right expertise together to solve it.
Outside of work, Patrick lives in Arizona with his wife and rescue dog and can often be found hiking the local mountains.
With more than 15 years of experience recruiting in the life sciences, Christine Fero knows that a resume only tells part of the story. It can show whether someone has done the work before, but not necessarily whether they can step into a highly regulated environment, understand what is at stake, and succeed within the realities of a specific organization.
Christine takes the time to understand what a client truly needs from the person stepping into the role, then looks beyond qualifications to evaluate whether the fit works for both sides. That perspective strengthens Reliant’s life sciences recruiting approach, where technical qualifications are only the starting point. Christine helps ensure the people Reliant introduces also have the judgment and understanding of regulated environments required to succeed in the work itself.
RJ Noel has spent more than eight years recruiting for mission-critical environments where “close enough” talent can quickly become an operational problem. He specializes in data centers, hyperscale environments, and critical infrastructure projects, with experience supporting technical hiring across engineering, commissioning, MEP, and construction leadership.
RJ understands that technical qualifications only tell part of the story. He looks for the experience, judgment, and working style required to perform in uptime-driven environments where schedules are unforgiving and teams cannot afford unnecessary learning curves. RJ brings that technical understanding to Reliant’s critical infrastructure recruiting, helping the team evaluate candidates beyond the résumé and distinguish between someone who meets the requirements and someone who is genuinely ready for the realities of mission-critical work.
We are truthful, transparent, and respectful in every interaction. Ethics guide our decisions, and we strive to create balanced, honest relationships with both candidates and colleagues. We recognize that what we do directly impacts the success of our colleagues, clients, and community - and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. By consistently showing up with integrity, we build the trust that makes meaningful, lasting partnerships possible.
Ownership means being accountable for outcomes—not just tasks. We step up, take responsibility, and look beyond job titles to do what’s best for the team and the company. We’re proactive in solving problems, transparent when things go wrong, and always looking for ways to improve. We look first to what we can control instead of blaming circumstances or external forces.
We approach every challenge with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to get better. We don’t just fix problems—we question whether we’re solving the right ones. By experimenting boldly, learning continuously, and collaborating intentionally, we drive progress for ourselves, our teammates, and the business. We're not here to maintain the status quo—we're here to make it better, every day.
We lead with respect—approaching one another with openness and a genuine desire to understand. By actively listening and honoring different perspectives, we foster a culture where ideas are welcomed, individual strengths are recognized, and every win is shared and celebrated.
